CBDistillery CBDrop Full Spectrum Oil Purchase Experience

After purchasing a variety of CBD oils online, CBDistillery stands among the best with a functional and fast website, transparency about what is in its products (and where you can find more information), and an easy ordering experience. CBDistillery’s oil was processed and shipped on the same day that I ordered it and arrived within 5 business days.

The product cost $35–which is pretty cheap considering the strength.

Day One

Total Dose Time of Day
8.5 mg (half of recommended) 8:00 AM
8.5 mg (half of recommended) 10:00 PM

I work a job that at times can be high-stress, and I often interact with a variety of different people throughout the day. While I don’t characterize myself as an anxious person, some days and some cycles are more strenuous than others. I experience a baseline level of anxiousness that I manage with meditation and prioritization if things become overwhelming.

On the first day I took half of the recommended dose (which is 17 mg or 1 mL, a full dropper). I smoke marijuana regularly, but not during the hours of the day that I need to be actively engaged with other people. I did not smoke on the day I started using this product.

Overall I would describe the experience as pleasant. I did not experience any adverse reactions. The product’s taste and consistency were tolerable, and the baseline level of anxiousness that I sometimes feel on my journey to work was noticeably lower. I can best describe this feeling as a sense of focus: less on thoughts and on others, and more on the journey from my home to my office.

Interactions and conversations with others were normal. I had a 12 ounce cup of coffee and did not notice any adverse reactions, and the coffee still made me feel alert and focused.

Any noticeable effects from the 8:00 am dose dissipated by around noon.

My evening was normal. I took a final half-dose at 10:00 PM. The experience was pleasant, like in the morning, and I felt relaxed and prepared to wind down for bed (not necessarily because of the oil). Sleep was restful.

Day Two

CBDistillery recommends a dropperful of their product 1-2 times per day as needed. On the second day, I had twice as much as on Day 1.

Total Dose Time of Day
17 mg (full dose) 8:00 AM
17 mg (full dose) 10:00 PM

Like the first morning, my commute to work was made more pleasant by a full dose of CBD oil before leaving. My mood was calm and I felt at ease during the first half of my day. I had coffee and did not feel any adverse side-effects from the combination. The effects wore off by about 10:30 am.

I worked out for an hour in the evening and took a full dose of CBD oil before bed. I slept restfully, but I would not say that I noticed any significant muscle soreness reduction.

Day Three

Since I worked out the day prior, I woke up with some muscle soreness. I took the first dose much earlier in the morning while having coffee before getting ready for my day. I did not notice any significant pain reduction, but getting ready for work was more pleasant than normal.

Total Dose Time of Day
17 mg (full dose) 6:00 AM
17 mg (full dose) 9:00 AM

On the evening of day three, I attended a work social event and drank hard alcohol (whiskey). I had four glasses over the course of a 7 hour evening, but I fell asleep before eating dinner.

Day Four

I woke up with a nasty hangover accompanied by nausea, though I did not throw up. I had difficulty sitting up without feeling nauseous for at least three hours. I do not take ibuprofen because it does not agree with my stomach, and normally I will vaporize marijuana to treat hangover symptoms.

I took 17 mg of CBD oil, instead, to see if it would have a noticeable effect. For me, it absolutely did. After about twenty minutes:

  • I felt less nauseous
  • I could sit upright without much hassle
  • I could sip water slowly and keep it down

I could not sense a change in (from a headache or muscle soreness), but it helped manage some of the symptoms of the hangover.

Total Dose Time of Day
17 mg (full dose) 9:00 AM
17 mg (full dose) 12:00 PM
17 mg (full dose) 11:00 PM

By noon I was able to eat food, so I took a dose before lunch. I did not notice any specific or significant reduction in pain symptoms, but my body felt better to have some food.

In the evening, I took another dose before bed and slept much better than the evening prior.

Day Five, Day Six

Total Dose Time of Day
17 mg (full dose) 8:00 AM
17 mg (full dose) 10:00 PM

Days five and six were similar to day two: no hangovers, doses in the morning and evening, and a general ease in anxiousness as described before that lasts for about an hour.

Day Seven

Total Dose Time of Day
8.5 mg (half of recommended) 8:00 AM

I decided to taper off on the last day. I did not experience any noticeable side-effects or differences.

CBDistillery CBDrop Full Spectrum Oil – Final Verdict and Conclusion

As a beginner to using CBD oil as a general wellness supplement, I thought that there were some minor – but noticeable – differences in my day-to-day routine from using CBDistillery’s 500 mg CBDrop Full Spectrum Oil. I kept the dosing very low for this first round in order to understand how my body tolerates the product. In the future, I’d like to experiment with the effects of higher doses, especially on pain.

Poor life choices aside, this CBD product helped me manage the symptoms of an unplanned hangover. It wasn’t a hangover cure, but it helped in a tangible way by reducing my nausea. The product also made my morning commute a more pleasant and less anxious experience- the effect was noticeable, but only lasted a couple hours at most.

On the evening of days 2 through 7 I consumed this product with marijuana without any adverse side-effects. I also had the oil while drinking coffee and felt attentive, focused, and productive.

I particularly liked the taste of the product. It was easy to take and the consumption experience was pleasant. I would recommend giving it a try, while paying special attention to levels of anxiousness attached to everyday activities.
